We are seeking a Web Developer who will assist in various facets of web production and user interface design, including HTML/CSS coding, navigation design, client-side to server-side communications using AJAX, web form design and various other media initiatives.
Ideally you will have:
* Experience with AJAX and Javascript (JSON experience an asset)
* Experience with database and data-driven website design
* Experience coding valid HTML and CSS
* Experience coding in one or more server-side programming languages
* Understanding of concepts of web usability
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Able to prioritize and manage tasks
* Good communication skills
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Work within the web team to develop new, and maintain existing corporate and event websites
* Work with technologies such as AJAX to add features and functionality
* Work closely with programmers responsible for our server-side code base
* Work with the Web Marketing Manager to ensure a high level of web usability
* Research and employ new and emerging technologies as appropriate
* Work to improve reliability and reduce load times of web pages as appropriate
* Other projects as assigned
