Great North Contract Services, based in Grande Prairie, AB is expanding its service area. We are seeking a motivated individual or a couple/pair with strong attention to detail. You must be willing to work as an independant contractor and capable of working unsupervised with random spot checks. This position allows you to set your own schedule as long as you complete all time sensitive work appropriately.
Duties Include:
-Attending various properties on a weekly basis to determine occupancy status (drive-by inspections)
-Performing in person Occupancy Reports
-Gaining access to properties and changing locks/securing/winterizing as requested
-Photographing properties as requested
-Monitoring all secured properties on a weekly basis to ensure integrity, take meter readings, perform lawn maintenance/snow removal
-Perform property clean-ups as requested/required
-Allow admittance to various contractors, sales reps, etc as advised
-Submit all paperwork within the requested timeframe
Skills/Tools Needed:
-Previous property management training not necessary, we are willing to train the right candidate(s)
-Able bodied (this means you are able to climb onto decks, into crawl spaces, lift furniture etc.)
-Some light handyman abilities needed to gain entry to properties, change locks/deadbolts etc.(as well as all the necessary tools)
-In addition to the above mentioned handyman abilities, please be aware that the more skills you have, the less work needs to be contracted out. For example, if you are able to do light construction, minor repairs etc.
-Computer skills/literacy are an absolute must, this position is highly dependent on it.(Microsoft office word and excel 2000+ mandatory, valid email address)
-It is absolutely CRITICAL that you are very comfortable with email and all of its functions, this includes checking your email on a regular basis multiple times throughout the day. 90% of our communication is conducted this way.
-Time sensitivity, often requests need to be resolved within a 24 hr window
-Extreme Reliability, we work weekends, holidays, etc. If you are someone who is away a lot, likes to take unplanned trips, this is not suitable for you
-Reliable vehicle, camera, cell phone
